Having trained over 1,000 local athletes and counting we are extremely proud to present just a small snippet of some of those athletes and what they have accomplished.   We are 100% committed to helping every single athlete who steps through our doors reach their goals.   Unlike most training facilities we treat each athlete as an individual and customize our workouts and coaching based on them!

Josh Hurwitz, Starting WR

Nationally Ranked Wesleyan Football (2013)

I started training with Jon at Powerhouse four years ago the summer going into my junior year of high school.  I weighed 145 pounds with very little strength.  My max hang clean was about 85lbs, bench was 95lbs, and squat was also about 95lbs.  Now my hang clean is 315lbs for 4 reps, bench 315 for 2 reps, and back squat 365 for 3 reps at a body weight of 203.  It is one thing to be able to increase strength when you are a beginner, but after consistently lifting with Jon for four years 4 days a week you are bound to hit plateaus.  As recently as this summer Jon was able to increase my hang clean by 35+ pounds, my bench by 30+ pounds, and my squat by 50 pounds.  He personally makes all of his programs specifically for each athlete’s needs, which shows in the results.  The point of strength increases is to increase athleticism through improving their explosiveness.  Although I added a significant amount of body weight, my speed, quickness, and jumping improved greatly.  He understands the importance of lifting coupled with plyometric exercises in a work out.  I started with a 40 yard dash time of a 4.8, a 5-10-5 time of 4.4, a vertical of just over 30 inches, and a standing broad jump of about 9 feet.  Currently my 40 time is a 4.55, my 5-10-5 is 4.1, my vertical is 37 and a half, and my broad jump is 10 feet 4 inches.  Jon has played a huge role in my strength and athletic ability and I highly recommend him to any athlete who is looking to maximize their potential in whatever sport they may play.

Hard work has paid off for Seamus Curran of Agawam.  The Junior has verbally committed to play baseball for University of Rhode Island (one of the top teams in the Northeast for 2013).  The 6’4” first baseman has already increased his bat speed by a consistent 10 mph and taken 2 tenths of a second off his 20 yard sprint.  Expect big things to come from him in the future.

University of Maine’s Arthur Williams has caught fire.  Williams (a Freshman) has been instrumental in leading Maine to 7 - 1 record and a national ranking of 8 in D1AA.  Art has been pulling in some huge catches as late including an 80 yard TD in his last game.

Art, a wide receiver/defensive back, is one of the few athletes in the country who has a legit 40 inch vertical.

In video 2 he is shown doing a single leg triple jump.  If you aren’t impressed try it for yourself and measure your distance.  He beats people by SEVERAL FEET not inches.

Karl Kapinos has been named a 2011 NJCAA all- american in 2011,

Karl hit .477 w/ 7 homeruns and OBP of .591 in 185 ab's.

Karl has completely transformed his body and his game over the last few years of training.  Just last year he was swinging in the low to mid 80’s.  In a matter of weeks he was in the mid - upper 90’s on our custom swing program.

If you don’t think he has some special bat speed check out youtube and see how many other players can swing 103!

Karl is probably one of the only college players in the country to have a bat speed of 103mph.   Only a handful of major league players can reach over 100 mph!

Josh Hurwitz - Earned MVP honors of for Team West in the WMASS vs CMASS 2011 “Chowder Bowl”.

In the video you can see the type of athlete Josh is.  Josh shows exactly what hard work can do.  As a freshman he was 145 lbs.  After 3 years of solid training he now is 190 lbs.  The key though is is #’s.

Power Clean 85x3 Then.............260x3 NOW

Vertical Jump  ~29 Then.............~36” NOW

40 yd dash     4.9 Then..............4.55  NOW

Josh has been training since his sophomore yr. in high school.  He is a 2 time 1st team all-wmass d1 selection for D1 powerhouse Longmeadow High School.  Josh is in his first year at Wesleyan University.

Garrett Agustin named Combine King - Top Football Prospect at National Youth Combine

Garrett turned heads at the latest high school football combine turning in a 4.69 40 yd dash as a 215 lb linebacker.  Garrett’s strength was solid as well, hitting 20 reps in the 185 lb bench test.  Garrett has taken .4 (4 tenths) off his pro agility (5-10-5), 1 second off his 3 cone drill and .3 (3 tenths) off his 40 yard dash in addition to adding 8 reps to his 185 lb bench test for reps in the past month and a half.  Expect more big things to come.  (Garrett is heading to the home of the Dallas Cowboys for the all-american game this fall!)

Bryan Goossens dominates MA/CT State All Star Game.

Junior Fireballer, Bryan Goossens pitched 2 scoreless innings in the Massachusetts vs Connectiuct Junior All Star Game.  Bryan is commmitted to d1, top 25, Uconn Huskies.  Bryan has been working out with us since he was a 135 lb sophomore in high school.  He now is 190 lbs!  He has a bright future and it’s scary to realize that he is a year younger than he should be for his grade!

Quinton Jones was named to the top 100 at the National Youth Combine as well as being named top defensive end prospect at his last combine.

LHP Justin Thomas of Enfield named to All State team for Connecticut.

Justin tore through opponents on the mound as well as making a name for himself as a strong two way player.  Thomas has drawn serious interest from a number of top 40 div. 1 teams

AIC running back Eddie Green demonstrates his upper body strength.  Benching 330 lbs with a close grip.

Chad Dakin has made as much improvement as any athlete in the area in the past few years.  Chad is now starting for D2 St. Anselms as a Freshman.  With a work ethic like this it’s no wonder why Chad has made so much improvement.

Chad’s sister, Danielle, former high school all-american is doing great at d1 top 25 UCONN.  This summer she put 15 lbs on her bench and became the first female to bench 135 at our facility.

Junior Coyote teammates demonstrate their hockey toughness in sled suicides.  This is one of the toughest drills any athlete can do.  For hockey players this builds skating power and endurance like nothing else.

Brenden Meyer (10 yr old) has been on a bit of a tear this fall.

In 7 games he has scored 18 goals along with 9 assists!!!!

Over 4 wks this summer he took his deadlift from 35 lbs for 5 to 100 lbs x5.  Took 1 sec. off his 20 yd dash and nearly doubled or tripled his strength in all his major lifts.

Many parents wait till high school before allowing athletes to lift weights even though it has been proven over and over through scientific studies - weight training in adolescents has nothing but benefits down the road.  Allowing your son or daughter to get bigger, stronger and faster prior to high school is the best way to ensure their success and safely build self-esteem and a great work ethic that will last a lifetime.

Jon Davis is a training mastermind! I have had amazing results since I have been lifting with Jon. started with a max bench press of 255 lbs. After Jon's 6 week bench specialization program I increased my bench press to 295. That came out to a 40 lb increase in only 6weeks! I was stuck in a rut with my bench and Jon saved me. Jon not only helped my bench but he also increased my power clean from the hang and back squat. I hit 415 on the back squat (up from 365) (+50). My power clean also increased from 185 to 225during the 6 weeks (+40). Jon really knows his stuff and is hands down the top trainer in the area. During my training with Jon I was also able to add 15 lbs of muscle which was a product of his diet and shake recipes.  Training with Jon really helped out a lot - I am now very close to achieving all my goals I have set for the following football season!

Jon Davis’ strength training program and guidance has drastically changed how I perform on the playing court and in the weight room. Before we started I told Jon I wanted him to take my athleticism to a point where I could compete at a high college level and Jon delivered. In the first six weeks I put over 80 pounds on my front squat, and over 50pounds on my hang clean. My vertical jump increased over 6 inches and my strength, speed, and quickness were taken to another level. I had tried many other programs in the past and I saw better results from Jon’s program in the first 6 weeks than I did with years of the or types of training, I started seeing improvements from week one, and would put my results from Jon’s program up against any others out there. His programs are completely catered to your goals, whether you are looking to prepare for a college sport, looking to make strength gains, or simply just wanting to look good, Jon can help you get there. When working with Jon he doesn’t just put you through the motions, Jon takes a personal interest in every one of his clients and does his absolute best to help them reach their goals. Jon also makes sure that your diet, nutrition, and recovery methods are on point so you can get the best out of his training methods.  Over the time I have worked with Jon the results I have seen exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend working with Jon to anyone who is serious about taking their athleticism performance, and body to the next level.

Having the privilege to train with Jon Davis has been a truly rewarding experience that I would recommend to any athlete serious about getting results.  Not only have I made the extreme advances in my physical appearance, but I've become a better athlete as well. The aspect that sets Jon's programs apart from other bodybuilding or athletic programs is that Jon's results are usable and effective for performance, not just looks.  Jon's programs have opened my eyes to a whole other side of lifting, including aspects of strength, explosiveness, speed, power, size, and performance.  My time training with Jon has improved my athletic abilities more than I ever thought achievable in12 weeks.  I've seen 100+ pound increases in my front squat and dead lift, along with numerous other heavy increases in all my lifts.  I've become a much faster, stronger, better performing athlete.   Also, the work ethic and dedication involved in Jon's workouts contributes as one of the most valuable aspects of the programs, providing positive and admirable characteristics that can be applied outside the weight room as well. I would highly recommend training with Jon Davis to anyone looking to find usable and valuable results in any aspect of the weight room or sports field.

Before going on Jon's bench program I was only able to do 210 for my 5 rep max and250 for my one rep max. However, after completing the program my 5 rep max has gone up to 235 with my one rep max at 300 after 2 months of work. Jon's help has also been very beneficial to my dead lift.  Jon helped me bring my 5 rep max to 275 to350 and my one rep max from 315 to 430. His diet/nutrition/supplement advice helped me get the most out of my workouts. I was able to add 10 lbs of muscle over the summer after being stuck at my old weight for over a year. With Jon's help I have been able to break plateau's, get bigger and watch my numbers increase on a weekly basis. If you want to see better results than what you are getting now, he's the guy to talk to.

For the past 6 weeks I had the pleasure of working with Jon Davis.  At first I didn't believe claims. The results he was telling me about didn’t seem believable for someone who wasn't just starting to train.  After getting started though my body and life have had a complete 360 degree turnaround.  Jon is a GENIUS.  I now have the body of a professional athlete and the diet Jon put me on helped improve my focus and mood. My 2 step vertical has increased 5 inches. Not only did I gain 5 inches on my jump but I was able to add 8 lbs of muscle in the same time frame. Forget about all the other programs out there - give Jon a try and I guarantee he will get you to whatever level you want to reach!

Jon Davis has the most top notch skills and knowledge a trainer can have. He has helped me reach my goals easily and made me realize I need to set my goals way higher.  Because of him I am not only healthier, but I look the best I have ever looked in my whole life.  He focuses on what you want to work on, takes you individually, helps assess your strengths and weaknesses, and helps make you the best you can be as a person an as an athlete. When I started lifting with Jon my power clean was at 120 lbs.  Now I'm at 175. Even better, my front squat weight started at 140 lbs and now I'm up to 240.  In a matter of 6 weeks I now front squat 100 lbs more than I did originally.  I have also gained 14 lbs of pure muscle in a matter of 6 weeks. I originally weighed 143 and I'm now up to 157.  Jon also focuses not just on lifting but on your diet too.  He can help narrow down what to eat and not to eat, how much or how little, and he also has a secret diet tip most people don't know about that will drastically improve your results. Because of Jon Davis I feel like an entirely new and better person.  I am more confident in myself when It comes to sports because he helps make you a better athlete, but I am also more confident in the way I look, especially at the beach. Not working out with Jon to me would be one of the biggest mistakes a person could make. I plan on training with Jon for as long as I can -he is not only an amazing trainer, but also a great friend.
